On Sunday June 21, Diamond Michelle (aka Shatta Michy) sent shock waves through social media when she wished her ex-husband Shatta Wale, a happy Father’s Day. This came as a surprise, considering the fact that the actress cum businesswoman had broken up with the dancehall king for more than a year now. Is there something up in the air for a reunion? Let’s find out!
Maybe a reunion possibility cannot be ruled out. Just about a month ago or so, Shatta Wale himself showed signs that he’s missing Michy badly from the bottom of his heart. He proved this when he recorded a new song with the title “infinity”? Yes! “Infinity” was fully dedicated to Shatta Michy, the mother of his intelligent and handsome son, Shatta Majesty. In the song, Wale professes his unceasing love for his baby mama, sparking wild speculations that the controversial couple are ready to patch up their differences and unite again.
But what actually happened to their relationship? Were they legally married to each other at all? Well, it was something like an engagement, but not marriage.
During their lovely days together, Michy, in her media interviews, disclosed that she had been with Shatta Wale for a long time — even when the musician was nobody in his Bandana days. Believing in the musical prowess of Bandana, Michy stuck with Shatta Wale through thick and thin.
The two lovebirds had good times together, and they never hid their love for each from the public. When Bandana rebranded himself and successfully masterminded his Second Coming in 2013, Michy was very proud of him. In 2015, the couple welcomed their fresh baby boy, Majesty.
Money was no longer a problem, as Shatta Wale became highly prosperous in his dancehall music career. Unfortunately, the abundance of wealth might have turned Shatta into something else. Fame and money saw a proud Shatta Wale exercise his superiority over his baby mama. Fast forward to 2018/2019, their relationship began to crumble.
When matters worsened, Michy ran away from the controversial musician, calling it quits.
According to Michy, she left the relationship because Shatta Wale was subjecting her beatings and other forms of abuse.
On his part, Wale argued that Michy used to threaten him with knives and other things. Anyway, none of them can be trusted. The controversial couple then went on a short break before reuniting in 2018 or so. Wale had begged Michy to come back.
However, after their first reunion, problems didn’t cease. As the saying goes, “Two rams cannot drink water from the same bucket — they will lock horns.” Conflicts kept erupting here and there, until Michy packed out for the last time. Their relationship was officially over.
