Life is a mirage. And in fact, it’s death itself. October 1, yesterday, was a black Thursday when Ghanaians learned that Ray Styles had passed away in India while receiving treatment for his liver disease.
Also known as Emmanuel Apraku, Ray Styles was a brilliant young artist who doubled as the CEO of Penciled Celebrities. The young entrepreneur was diagnosed with a liver infection which literally reduced him to bones.
News of his liver condition eventually went viral across the country, with many philanthropists coming to his aid.
Celebrities and other caring Ghanaians made some donations in an effort to help Ray seek a liver surgery medical attention.
A GoFundMe account was activated for Ray; it was able to raise enough money to cater for the medical bills involved in the surgery procedure. The £40,000 GoFundMe target was met, thanks to donations from many people, including First Lady Rebecca Akufo Addo.
Ray Styles Dies in India
On October 1, an official tweet from Ray’s social media accounts announced the sudden departure of the promising entrepreneur.
Giovanni Caleb, a prominent television and radio personality, also confirmed the death of Ray Styles.
Ray’s last WhatsApp conversations with friends showed that he was confident that he would make it. Unfortunately, he lost the battle for his life.
We wish Ray Styles an eternal rest in the hands of his maker.
Life is not always fair. And to be a young victim of this invisible enemy called death is just unfortunate. RIP brother.
