Rufftown goddess and reigning queen of Ghana music industry, Wendy Shay, has released a new hit song featuring champion Shatta Wale.
Titled H.I.T (Haters in Tears), Wendy’s new track is set to take over the airwaves, just like her Stevie Wonder collabo shattered everywhere.
Earlier on, Shay announced her new song with the SM boss by posting the following message on her official Facebook page.
“On the 4th of September this Friday is my Godmother’s @beyonce’s birthday. And I’ll be releasing a Banger with Godfather @shattawalenima. Thank you Godfather for the link. This is spiritual. #ShayGang, #SM”
So, basically, Wendy has teamed up with Shatta to present the fans with another classic tune. The talented songstress cannot just stop featuring other artists in 2020. Surprisingly, her collaborations are also doing great. Take “Emergency ft Bosom PYung”for example — it’s an award-winning banger.
A few weeks ago, she was on the mic with Kelvyn Boy in a song titled “Odo”. Eno Barony also has an upcoming song with Wendy Shay.
Unfortunately, it’s sad to confirm that the self-acclaimed queen of Ghana music industry failed to win a single award at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2020/21. She was part of a group of unlucky artists like Kelvyn Boy and King Promise who received no recognition for their music projects last year.
Nevertheless, it looks like the queen isn’t perturbed by the fact that the 2020 VGMA ceremony didn’t go in her favor. Last year’s VGMAs saw Wendy Shay crowned as the New Artist of the year.
Well, this year too was meant for Fameye, who is inarguably the new face of Ghana music industry. For now, Wendy Shay can wish herself good luck in the future.
If she continues to release good songs with the help of her manager and songwriter Bullet, Wendy can go places.
