Wendy Shay, queen of Ghana music industry and self-styled Ghana Beyonce, is living in her prime time. After releasing her smash hit “Emergency”, Wendy Shay is back with another monster banger featuring Kelvyn Boy.
Titled “Odo”, Wendy Shay’s new collaboration with Kelvynboy is set to wow music lovers across the country. Earlier on, the talented singer from Rufftown Records took to Instagram to announce her surprising music project with Stonebwoy’s protege.

Wendy Shay & Kelvyn Boy Settle Their Beef
Following the fracas that ensued between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy in the 2019 VGMAs, the dancehall artists later smoked the peace pipe in an occasion which registered the presence of Bullet, Wendy shayand Kelvyn Boy. There, Kelvyn ignited a fresh beef with Wendy by snubbing her when she tried to greet him.
And since then, the two Afrobeats singers have been warring silently over music awards. A male singer battling a female artist just because of awards? Who does that? Well, Kelvyn Boy did it.
But now, he has learned to humble himself and be a gentleman. On July 28, 2020, the Blakkarm Group artist and “Mea” hit-maker, shared a beautiful photo he took with Wendy Shay, drawing the curtains closed on their year-long beef.
The resolution of their beef opened the gates for Wendy’s hit collaboration with Kelvyn Boy. Could this be a beginning of operation no beefs in Ghana music industry?
Despite her young music career, Wendy shay has proved to be a prominent musician in Ghana. Her very first recorded track was Uber Driver, and that song went on to influence Wendy’s subsequent releases.
Fast forward to today, the songstress boasts of numerous hit songs such as Ghana Boys, Asta Lavista, Kut It, Stevie Wonder, Bedroom Commando — and most recently, Emergency ft Bosom Pyung.
Point proved? Let’s see how many awards WendyShay will win in the next VGMAs.
